Lay Eucharistic Ministry A Lay Eucharistic Minister is a confirmed adult who assists the clergy by serving the wine at communion services, reading Prayers of the People, and serving as lay reader at the 8:00 pm service. The Lay Eucharistic Ministers also visit and take the sacrament (already consecrated from the Sunday service) to our shut ins. These visits are in addition to those provided by the clergy. There are presently four Lay Eucharistic Ministers, each appointed for a two-year term by the Rector, who carries out their training. |
